Short Bio - Joana Bernardino

 

Joana Bernardino is a wildlife biologist with a Master in Ecology and Environmental Management by the University of Lisbon. Over the last decade, she participated in several Environmental Impact Assessments and Monitoring Programmes related to wind energy facilities. Her main research interest has been the development of methodologies to assess and mitigate wildlife fatality at wind farms and other human made infrastructures. Currently she is researcher at CIBIO – InBIO (Research Centre in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources) and also a member of EUROBATS Intersessional Working Group on “Wind Turbines and Bat Populations”.
