• Civil Engineer by Technical University of Lisbon (1972);
• PhD and Master of Science in Water Resources by MIT (USA) (1979);
• Associated Professor of Hydraulics and Water Resources Technical University of Lisbon (1984-1998);
• Consultant engineer for over 40 years, with special focus on studies and projects for small hydropower plants, wind farms and environmental studies;
• President of APREN – Portuguese Renewable Energy Association.
• Vice President of EREF – European Renewable Energy Federation.
• Member of the Advisory board of the University of Évora (Portugal).
