Andrew Gill is a Senior Lecturer, Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy and Engineering (COREE), School of Water, Energy and Environment, Cranfield University. Andrew has 25+ years’ experience as an applied fish and fisheries ecologist. He has pioneered international research into the interactions between offshore marine renewable energy developments and marine ecosystem. Andrew has advised on a number of marine renewable energy EIA’s, both UK and internationally. His philosophy is to provide objective and scientifically robust fundamental research outputs and advice to industry and statutory agencies concerning the interactions between marine energy devices and marine organisms, particularly linked with electricity production and energy emissions into the environment (i.e. electromagnetic fields and noise). He has published 50+ peer reviewed journal and conference articles, book chapters and reports; some widely cited relating to marine renewable energy and the environment. Andrew serves on several national and international advisory and technical scientific committees.
